Species Recovery Programme for the Pine Marten in England 1996-1998 (ENRR306)

This report considered the potential impacts of pine marten reintroductions on native fauna and game; the attitudes of people to pine martens in regions to which they might be reintroduced; the impact of removing pine martens from Scotland for reintroduction to England; whether reintroductions would meet international conservation guidelines; how reintroductions could be conducted and monitored. A Species Action Plan for the pine marten in England was developed.
