Creating native woodland in upland England: practical issues from the Shropshire Hills, the Lake District and the Forest of Bowland (ENRR307)

English Nature were committed to the expansion of native woodland in the uplands but realised that it was not appropriate everywhere. This report was commissioned to provide information on where it would be beneficial to nature conservation to create new natural woodland and where it would be desirable, feasible and practical. It reports on three projects and does not provide supplementary analysis.
