The Northern Pennines: an evaluation of upland habitats (ENRR064)

Provides an overview of a vegetation survey undertaken in 1993 of twelve large upland blocks, outwith existing SSSI, in the northern Pennines. Forty one National Vegetation Classification (NVC) communities were recorded. These moorland plant communities, dominated by Calluna + Calluna-rich blanket mires are of high nature conservation value in national and international contexts.
