Ecological responses to the 1987 Great Storm in the woods of south-east England: conference proceedings (ENS23)

In October 1987 a severe storm (estimated return time 200 years) over south-east England caused widespread damage to woods. Numerous studies were carried out immediately afterwards, many of which were intended to form the basis for long-term monitoring studies. Six years on, this conference, held at Wye College, University of London, on 10 and 11 September 1993, explored what could be determined about the early response of the woods to the storm.
