State of the natural environment in the North West (NE134)

Natural England’s State of the Natural Environment 2008 report demonstrated that the natural environment in England is much less rich than 50 years ago and remains under pressure from a significant range of threats, particularly on our landscapes and biodiversity. This report builds on that work and brings together further evidence on the natural environment in the North West. It also explores the challenges and opportunities to conserve our wildlife and landscapes in the long term.
