Bats and onshore wind turbines (Interim guidance) (TIN051)

This note has been written to help consider the potential adverse impacts to bats when assessing proposals for wind turbine development. It applies to bats and their activity in the wider countryside and does not specifically address turbines proposed near protected sites, particularly those designated due to important bat populations. Such situations will require more work in order to assess impacts on those populations. This note will be updated as evidence becomes available.
