Access to the countryside and bird conservation priorities for research (NECR003)

The aim of this report is to identify and prioritise possible future studies and research into the implications for bird conservation of changes to public access to the countryside.

It repeats similar work carried out in 2001. In 2001 the focus of research was on understanding the potential impacts of public access on birds. The focus has now moved on to understanding what influences people’s use of the countryside and how best to manage access in order to reduce the potential impacts on birds.
