Conference papers from European Heathland Network conferences.
The European Heathland Network is an informal gathering of academics, site managers, consultants, policy makers and others interested in all aspects of heathland conservation and enjoyment. The first meeting took place in 1972 between a handful of French and British colleagues, and it has grown in strength since them. Now about 70-100 attendees visit every other year a heathland area along the natural distribution of European heathlands, from Portugal to Norway, to exchange experiences and learn from each other. The European Heathland Workshops include scientific presentations and discussions, as well as site visits.
The 17th European Heathland Workshop took place in Brittany, France, from 21st to 27th August 2022. The next one will be in Sweden, in 2025. A link will be provided closer to the time.
