Improvement Programme for England's Natura 2000 Sites: Final event report and presentations (IPENSLE03)

The final event for the Improvement Programme for England’s Natura 2000 Sites (IPENS) (Natura 2000 – a call to action) was held on 21st May 2015 to coincide with European Natura 2000 day. The purpose of the event was to:

1. Share the key findings and recommendations from the IPENS programme. 
2. Outline a framework for the long term management of England’s Natura 2000 sites. 
3. Discuss the key issues affecting England’s Natura 2000 sites and the engagement and next steps needed to tackle them. 
4. Celebrate the Natura 2000 network, with other EU countries, as part of European Natura 2000 day.
