This report was commissioned to inform and provide data for considering future possible Marine Conservation Zone (MCZ) sites. It covers a feature verification survey of the priority MCZ broad-scale habitat and habitats of conservation importance in the Allonby Bay rMCZ site.

Closing statement
This project provided up to date information to verify the features of Allonby Bay MCZ and supported the designation of the site. Natural England staff were able to make significant inputs to the field work along with trainees from the Cumbria Wildlife Trust, which built upon that existing partnership.
