Northey Island set-back scheme. Report 3 May 1993 (ENRR061)

The Northey Island managed retreat experiment (Stage 3) called for the continues physical monitoring of this important experimental site. The Institute of Estuarine and Coastal Studies has been carrying out topographic monitoring of the site since implementation of the experiment in July 1991. Further site visits were made in August 1992 and February 1993 to repeat the detailed topographic surveys and accretion measurements. Sediment samples were also taken to determine any change in sediment size and to assess spatial sedimentation patterns across the set-back site. This report contains the results of the monitoring during the period since January 1992.
