Earthworms in England: distribution, abundance and habitats (NECR145)

This report represents the first attempt at as structured national survey of earthworm diversity and abundance, and combines data from a commissioned survey with existing validated records to identify our commonest, less abundant and rarest earthworm species, as well as linking them to soil conditions and habitats. It will also enable people interested in establishing earthworm populations to apply the same methods used in the report to generate compatible data.
