A research project concerning the location and colony size of B.barbestellus on Dartmoor across four areas in and around Dartmoor National Park, Devon, England. It includes data on home ranges, foraging areas and principal foraging habitats, roost use and roost preference and habitat selection relating to dietary requirements. Bat data was collected using mist nets, harp nets and radio tracking. Practical habitat enhancement and restoration measures are suggested with an aim to ensuring the long term conservation of the species and the resulting benefits with associated species and habitats relating to the B.barbestellus SAP.
