This record provides Natural England’s advice on the Conservation Objectives for this European Site.
These Conservation Objectives are those referred to in the Conservation of Habitats and Species Regulations 2017 (as amended from time to time). The accompanying Supplementary Advice provides more detailed advice and information which enables the application and achievement of the Conservation Objectives. The Conservation Objectives and the supporting Supplementary Advice together provide a framework which should inform any ‘Habitats Regulations Assessments’ (which may include an Appropriate Assessment) that a competent authority may be required to make under the legislation referred to above. In addition, they can be used to inform any measures necessary to conserve or restore the European Site and/or to prevent the deterioration or significant disturbance of its qualifying features.
Supplementary Advice to support this site’s formal Conservation Objectives is available as part of this European Marine Site’s Conservation Advice at gov.uk.
The Citation represents a formal description of the reasons why the site has been classified as a Special Protection Area (SPA). This document was part of the formal consultation with owner/occupiers and stakeholders prior to the site’s classification, and now forms part of the entry for this site in the Register of European Sites.
