The aim of this study was to maintain a management programme beneficial to the grouse population and the wider conservation objectives. In 1989 198 ha of moorland were actively managed and 67ha allowed to regenerate naturally. This report reviews major concerns, such as management practices, visitor pressure and grouse densities.
