A ground-based visual inspection was carried out at the East Dartmoor NNR to assess the condition of trees, with particular attention regard to the safety of persons and property.
The report includes the following findings for each tree assessed: species; age class; height; bat potential; physiological condition; structural condition; and hazard rating.
The report’s conclusions include recommendations for tree felling, the removal of branches and deadwood and the management of trees with significant bat potential or significant bryophyte or lichen colonies.
