Stiperstones NNR - Mountain Pansy Viola lutea at The Stiperstones National Nature Reserve, Shropshire 2006 - 2008 (RP0652)

This study and the literature suggested that although Viola lutea is associated with infertile acid grassland vegetation in which Festuca ovina and Galium saxatile are abundant, it is disadvantaged where Vaccinium myrtillus and Deschampsia flexuosa become abundant, probably due to excessive reductions in soil fertility and pH.
