A spider survey was carried out at Yarner Wood in July to September 2009. Open, secondary and climax woodland types were surveyed. There is no accompanying explanation to explain how these definitions were arrived at but it is assumed that the climax type would be high forest.
Samples were taken from shrub layer, ground layer, tree bark and pitfall traps. The data has then been split by habitat, month and sample type with a summary of totals for the different species found.
