A survey of Pearl-Bordered Fritillary butterflies was carried out across Devon in 2012, between 19 April 2012 and 31 May 2012. The survey includes records for Yarner Wood, from the area alongside the driveway, and Bovey Valley Woodlands at Trendlebere Coombe. The method used was a timed count at each area, recording the number of Pearl Bordered Fritillaries observed, the date seen and the grid reference for each site surveyed.
These surveys are done annually, with surveys for previous years also available at Yarner Wood.
