A study on Byctiscus populi (L. 1758) (Attelabidae) in Latvia and implications for conservation management in the UK (ENRR487)

This report examines the habitat preferences of the beetle Byctiscus populi (L. 1758) (Attelabidae) in Latvia, where it is relatively common, in order to guide appropriate habitat management in the UK, where it has declined and is now classified as rare (JNCC Action Plan, Morris). The study also investigated the life history of the species, including mortality factors, dispersal ability and the process of leaf rolling.
