The England Ecosystem Survey is part of the terrestrial Natural Capital and Ecosystem Assessment programme (NCEA), which is funded by Defra. The England Ecosystem Survey (EES) programme, part of NCEA, collects soil data for a range of measured variables.
This manual aims to describe how year 1 EES soil sampling and assessment data was cleaned and prepared together with processes of quality assurance where appropriate.
This manual and associated annexes will be subject to review and revision annually. Changes to improve the quality of the data and clarity of this manual will be made.
