This dataset contains the results of soil sampling and vegetation surveys across Nature Returns Local Partnership Projects between 22-03-2023 and 16-01-2025.
Data was collected per the methodology documented in ‘TIN220 Nature Returns Field Survey Methodology’, created for the Nature Returns Programme. Method development and subsequent survey results underwent internal peer review. Analysis was carried out internally or through contracted laboratory work (source indicated in dataset). The dataset was created by merging results of soil, vegetation and tree surveys.
The dataset provides a baseline for future change in vegetation and soil from nature-based solutions activities. It provides the opportunity to draw clear conclusions on the potential of nature-based solutions to tackle climate change and biodiversity issues by monitoring their effects from the outset.
