This booklet provides a summary of the wildlife importance and management of marshy grasslands known as purple moor-grass and rush pastures in the United Kingdom. Purple moor-grass and rush pastures are a rare and highly threatened habitat and hence it is priority habitat in the Government’s UK Biodiversity Action Plan. This full colour booklet was written in a non-technical style and was aimed at policy-makers, landowners and others interested in finding out more about the wildlife of this special habitat.
