This leaflet describes an English Nature’s project on the conservation of lakes in England. This project had the aims of contributing to the achievement of favourable condition on lake SSSIs and helping to deliver Biodiversity Action Plan targets. The leaflet gives a brief explanation of why lakes are important for wildlife and describes the impacts currently affecting their wildlife interest.
