The Upland resource survey consolidation project. Final report. Phase 2a (ENRR093)

This survey report collated existing vegetation data for 3800 square kilometers of the uplands in Northern England and produces summary results. The survey used only the Severely Disadvantaged Area of the Less Favoured Area designation. Data was collated from several Phase I habitat surveys throughout northern England by copying directly onto 1:25000 maps using a reduced Phase I classification. The data were then digitised and loaded directly onto English Nature’s Geographical Information System (GIS). Summary statistics from the collated data have been devised for each Natural Area.
