The final event for the Improvement Programme for England’s Natura 2000 Sites (IPENS) (Natura 2000 – a call to action) was held on 21st May 2015 to coincide with European Natura 2000 day. The purpose of the event was to:
1. Share the key findings and recommendations from the IPENS programme.
2. Outline a framework for the long term management of England’s Natura 2000 sites.
3. Discuss the key issues affecting England’s Natura 2000 sites and the engagement and next steps needed to tackle them.
4. Celebrate the Natura 2000 network, with other EU countries, as part of European Natura 2000 day.
