This publication reports on a structured survey during 1995 of twenty Centaurea nigra-Cynosurus cristatus grassland (MG5 in the National Vegetation Classification) sites in Worcestershire. The aims are to determine if horse, as opposed to cattle, grazing (with or without traditional hay management) damages the nature conservation interest of these grasslands.
