Understanding what predicts more or less individual pro-environmental behaviour is one important part of wider efforts towards the protection and restoration of natural environments. The aim of this quick scoping review was to provide practical insights for researchers into how pro-environmental behaviour and its key determinants can be measured through closed-answer surveys (those with predefined answer options). By providing clear guidance on how surveys and evaluations can measure these constructs, the review aims to grow our understanding of what influences pro-environmental behaviour, and inform programmes and policy in this space.
